I think we all have to be careful in respect of ethnically based jokes. I'm not trying to be a kill-joy but there has been a furore on here in the past about similar jokes and some people with Irish backgrounds have, understandably, become very upset. Not trying to be difficult - and it's only my opinion, but I think we need to be sensitive to the feelings of others.

Thanks Jean for saying that. I would also like to add that I have seen blasphemy on here, which offends me greatly. Swear words are always bleeped or dashed out, which is fine in my opinion but it seems that blasphemy is ok. It isn't.

I don't know how to take the above responses I would just like to add that I am half irish and it does not bother me in the slightest at jokes towards the irish .the irish have more jokes about the english than anyone.All I can say is take a joke have a laugh chill
